Susanne M. Gollin, PhD, professor emerita of human genetics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health, died April 6, 2025. She was 71.

Eva Klein, MD, PhD, FAACR, professor emerita of tumor biology at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden and a pioneer in cancer immunology and virology, died January 19, 2025, at the age of 99.

Kenneth H. Cowan, MD, PhD, a longtime AACR member who served for 24 years as director of what is now the Nebraska Medicine Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center in Omaha, died December 15, 2024. He was 77 years old.

Karen T. Liby, a longtime AACR member who was the Sidney and Lois Eskenazi Professor of Hematology-Oncology at Indiana University’s Melvin and Bren Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center, died November 15, 2024, at the age of 52.

Andrew V. Schally, PhD, FAACR, who shared the 1977 Nobel Prize in Medicine or Physiology for his discoveries on endocrine signaling in the nervous system, died October 17, 2024, at the age of 97.

Jeffrey S. Weber, MD, PhD, deputy director of the Perlmutter Cancer Center at NYU Langone and co-leader of its Clinical Melanoma Program, professor of oncology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, and an Emeritus member of the AACR, died August 18, 2024, at the age of 72.

Charis Eng, MD, PhD, founder and former director of the Genomic Medicine Institute at Cleveland Clinic and a professor of molecular medicine at its Lerner College of Medicine, died August 13, 2024. She was 62 years old.

R. Michael Williams, MD, PhD, an oncologist in Modesto, California, former chief medical officer of Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA), and a member of the AACR since 1979, died July 18, 2024. He was 77 years old.

Maxine Frank Singer, PhD, FAACR, former president of the Carnegie Institution of Science and former chief of the Laboratory of Biochemistry at the National Cancer Institute, died July 9, 2024. She was 93.
